I gave the item 5 stars considering that I'm confident it does exactly what it is meant to do.
Having said that, you could not need this. I bought it figuring out that my dishwasher hose is five/8" and the InSinkErator 74029 Important Evolution Household Food Waste Disposer, Gray has a bigger intake. The plumber who installed the faucet, sink, and disposal was conscious I had this kit but as an alternative he cut an current piece of rubber tubing and implemented it to bridge the distinction in size. He almost certainly believed I could take this back to the nearby hardware store and get my funds back.
That resolution has verified water tight, so if you are not picky about the visual appearance you can in all probability get by with a similar approach.

You are going to have to have a hacksaw (to trim off the excess component of the connector) and channel lock pliers (to squeeze the pictured clamps). As soon as I got the clamp on the connector, which was tricky, the connector is solid.
