This will install on any normal size vent pipes.
It appears to operate OK.
But don't forget, if you have a SEPTIC Method you need to have a vent for PRESSURE as nicely. A septic frequently has a positive pressure due to the temperature differences in between the property and the tank.

I tried this for a basement sink to deliver a supplementary vent for the drain line. It simply did not perform. The 'valve' in the vent demands too a lot suction to open to operate as described. The sink drained slowly, when I unscrewed the Certain Vent I heard the air rushing in and the drain water flowed smoothly. Nice idea but it didn't perform for me.
