Client Critiques

I perform in apartment upkeep. Just after struggling, many occasions, to remove the damn nuts that hold the sinks in spot I decided to try this toy out. I figured with all the modern technologies and personal computer design these days, possibly Ridgid had come up with a miracle tool for installing/uninstalling sinks. Sadly, this is not the case. The most prominent concern so far is the length of the tool. If the sinks water lines are not perfectly straight or if there is some thing in the way of the tool such as a garbage disposal, then forget about it, entirely useless tool. If you're lucky enough to have perfectly straight water lines and a lot of open space beneath the sink, then the next concern is not stripping the tabs off the plastic nuts. I tried a great number of occasions to slip this tool onto those plastic nuts and even if I got it on, either the nuts tabs would bend/strip or break off absolutely or the tool itself will bend and slip off. You see, because there is an open slot,to allow it to slip more than the water lines, it also bends if you apply even a compact amount of force. Applying it to turn off the water provide shut off valves is a great deal more cumbersome than just applying channel locks. Normally, I am a significant fan of Ridgid tools but this a single falls short in so countless places, it is just not worth it IMO.

I own over 50 rental units and when I am without having a helper (which is frequently) I do most of the upkeep myself. I use lower priced faucets since tenants abuse them and they are effortless to alter through turnover.
This tool functions amazing and is a single of my preferred hand tools. It really is accurate that this won't help substantially with single hole faucets. The 2 or 3 hole ones with a major plastic nut on every single side is what this issue is produced for. I've offered this as gifts to quite a few people today and when I misplaced mine a couple weeks ago I bought one other as an alternative of altering the faucet without it.
